The client
Startup-Recht is a legal firm specialising in helping startups and scale-ups — from incorporation to shareholders' agreements and investment rounds. They came to me with no brand identity at all and needed everything: logo, visual language, and a website that could hold its own in the startup world.
Logo & brand identity
I designed the Startup-Recht logo from the ground up — starting with a custom icon based on a typographic 'T' structure (referencing both 'title' and the scales of justice) and refined through a precise construction grid. The logo works across all contexts: on white, on brand blue, inverted and monochrome. Paired with Roobert as the primary typeface and Switzer as the pairing, the identity feels both authoritative and modern.
Style guide & type system
The full brand style guide defines typography, colour, spacing and logo usage rules — ensuring consistency across the website, pitch decks, and any future touchpoints. The type pairing (Roobert + Switzer) was chosen to reflect the dual nature of the brand: sharp and legal, yet accessible and forward-thinking.
Website
With the brand foundation in place, I designed and built the complete Webflow website. Clean CTA structure, sector-specific content, and full SEO optimisation for search terms like 'legal advice startup'. The result: a strong online presence in a niche market, with consistent brand expression from first pixel to final click.
